I currently live in Cork, Ireland, where I’ve been since 2003 when my father brought me here at the age of three. At the time, I had no idea how much this move would change my life and shape my future.
Growing up in Ireland wasn’t without its challenges, but it also opened the door to incredible opportunities. In my teenage years, I fully embraced Irish culture and fell in love with the warmth and friendliness of the Irish people.
Although I faced bullying and racism at a young age, I didn’t let it define me. Instead, I stayed focused and determined to create a better future for myself. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities I’ve had here, especially access to a great education—something I know might have been very different if I’d grown up in Türkiye.
